We will use personal information primarily for the purpose to facilitate book orders, ie. we will only collect personal information that is necessary for what we do. This enables us to process your orders and to easily identify you in the future if you have any queries regarding goods that you have ordered.

SECURITY

The Online Shop takes seriously the protection of your personal information and credit card details.

Credit card authorisation
186Red Pty Ltd uses e-Way, an electronic payment service designed to securely process credit card transactions over the Internet. e-Way processes credit card transactions in a similar manner to a traditional EFTPOS terminal. It carries out card authorisations and debits your account.
Credit card information is collected for billing purposes only. All other data is held on the host server at Host4Web.com. This is located in a secure location with 24-hour security monitoring.

Encryption
The Online Shop protects your personal information by using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a technology for managing the security of online data transmission. SSL encrypts or scrambles any information sent from your browser to the server to which you are connected, making it impossible to intercept or tamper with the information on the way.

On the page where you add your personal information, you can see a padlock in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser. This means encryption is in place and that information being sent from this page is safe. Also, web pages that require an SSL connection start with https instead of http.

Digital Certificate Authentication
An authenticated digital certificate is your proof that not only is your information protected but it is going to exactly whom it was intended. By clicking on the RapidSSL seal, you can confirm that 186Red Pty Ltd is a legal entity and has the right to use the domain name included in the certificate, the validity of the certificate on the web server to which you are connected, its expiry date and the country in which we are based.
